What is Learn Autism?

Developed by an experienced team of parents, professionals, educators together with acclaimed professor, Dr Stephen Shore. Learn Autism has been designed from a parent's perspective, supporting families on their Autism journey from identifying initial red flags, implementing early intervention strategies right through to adulthood.

Unique in its approach, through an extensive catalog of concise, easy to watch videos, Learn Autism provides an unbiased, informative companion that offers families the support, advice and knowledge to implement the right strategies and achieve the best outcomes.

When did Learn Autism start?

Although the idea of Learn Autism was initiated earlier, the company formally started in July 2019.

Why another Autism resource? We already have so many.

The internet has made online resources and information about Autism readily accessible and available to all on every device. These can however, be very overwhelming and confusing, especially when it comes to parents who have children who have been recently diagnosed. The founders of Learn Autism are parents who have been through that journey. Their vision was to make it easier for other parents by providing an extensive catalog of unbiased information through bite sized videos.

Why is this a free resource?

We are very conscious of the financial strains on Autism families. This is one of the reasons why we started Learn Autism. Our mission is to provide access to quality information about Autism to everyone, everywhere.

Who can use Learn Autism?

Learn Autism is designed primarily for parents and caregivers of people with Autism. In addition, our content is beneficial for teachers, therapists, schools and anyone who wants to learn more about Autism and how to support individuals with Autism.

Can Learn Autism replace therapy my child is receiving?

No! Learn Autism is not a therapy replacement. The primary goal of Learn Autism is to provide an unbiased, informative companion that offers families the support, advice and knowledge to implement the right strategies and achieve the best outcomes.

Are Learn Autism videos accessible in other languages?

Currently, our videos are offered in the English language. The videos are available with English and Arabic subtitles (closed captions) which studies have shown can assist in understanding and absorbing the content much better, even for individuals whose first language is not English. We are working on adding new languages in the near future.

Should I watch the videos in a particular order?

You are welcome to watch the videos in any order. However, we recommend you start at the beginning of a category and work through. Our experts often reference information presented in earlier videos.

Can Learn Autism give specific advice for what my child needs?

No. We are unable to offer you specific advice as we do not provide clinical assessments.
